IT boot camp: Nordanex supports partners with qualified training

How do you make young people fit for IT, strengthen soft skills and make networking fun? The Nordanex IT boot camp shows how it’s done and supports 15 trainees for a week with exciting workshops, specialist lectures and technical training.

Supporting partners in corporate development, making young people technically fit and empowering them – these are the goals of the IT boot camp of Nordanex, the IT system house group of Soennecken eG. For the fourth time, trainees from the affiliated Nordanex Qualified Partners (NQP) came to the cooperative’s headquarters in Overath from April 24th to 28th to share, expand and deepen their knowledge of topics such as network configuration, server and storage setup and Microsoft solutions. As in previous years, the specialist lectures, workshops and technical training sessions were conducted by the experienced managing directors of two partner companies: Ralf Schwarzmaier from Mars solutions and Volker Egenberger from Egenberger IT Solutions.

In addition to imparting specialist knowledge, a separate workshop day dealt with important soft skills: strengthening self-confidence, understanding the role of trainees in the company and dos and don’ts in customer contact. So that the 15 participants of the IT bootcamp could get to know each other and network outside of the work topics, there was a get-together and an American diner style dinner with bowling at the kick-off of the event. During a guided tour through the logistics of Soennecken eG, the young IT staff also gained an insight into the company and the complex processes of storage and packaging.

Nordanex organizes meetings and training courses for its partners several times a year in the areas of sales, technical training, corporate and human resources development. In all formats, there are plenty of opportunities for participants to exchange ideas and make new contacts. “Networking people is particularly important to our partners, which is why we see this as one of our central tasks,” explains Carsten Segelken, Key Account Manager of the Managed Workplace Solutions business unit at Nordanex. “With our trainee boot camp, the participants receive the tools right from the start for a successful start in their IT career and the opportunity to build up their own partner and know-how network outside their training companies.” Trainer Ralf Schwarzmaier appreciates the shared experience at the boot camp Promotion of the next generation of IT by the partners of the NQP Group: “Through the boot camp, we can impart solid basic knowledge to our trainees. In this way, we give them a good start and show them the advantages of networking at an early stage. After all, they will be the ones who will work together and support each other in the future.”
